Further to our recent postings on the recent accident in Yenkisa, the family of the pilot would like to give God thanks for his hand of protection over Pastor Gideon Kend and his team during the unfortunate event. They would also like to publicly thank Pastor Gideon for choosing to continue his journey to the community of Yambaitok. The team had originally planned to travel to Yenkisa and then continue the journey by foot to Yambaitok, which is a full day walk away through the dense forest, where Pastor Gideon was invited to preside over a baptism ceremony for several members of the community. Whilst it would have been understandable to cancel his trip given the ordeal that he and his team had just gone through, Pastor Gideon showed tremendous courage and elected to lead his team through the night towards Yambaitok to get there in time for the baptism on Saturday.

Pastor Gideon later informed us that he arrived safely and that he saw God’s hand leading in the service, where 11 souls were baptised and many people surrendered their lives to God.

We continue to give God all the praise through it all!
